In the state of South Carolina, a man was charged with the use of a deadly weapon, marking the first case of a convicted American in such a way in the last 15 years. According to authorities, Breida Sigmon (67 years old) was released yesterday evening from the facility of close-range three voluntary employees of the prison in Columbia, the capital of South Carolina.
Sigmon, who was handcuffed to a chair and had his head covered with a black hood, chose the method of fatal death by way of a deadly shot with the help of a lethal injection, pointing to "true death sentence," according to his attorney. The attorney explained for the channel "Greenville News" that Sigmon faced a lengthy stay from the injection.
The Supreme Court of the USA denied the request of attorney Sigmon for the cancellation of the previously mentioned sentence yesterday. Sigmon was sentenced in 2001 for the brutal murder of a former altar boy with a baseball bat.
